Encore won't save my serial code (or won't work) after Windows update

Resetting Encore or MusicTime Deluxe on Windows 10

 

The following procedure is to be used if Encore/MusicTime no longer save files or won’t run after a windows system update.

 

Uninstall Encore/MusicTime using the uninstaller provided with the software.

 

Restart the computer

 

Using the Windows program, Regedit (http://pcsupport.about.com/od/registry/ht/open-registry-editor.htm), delete the following files:

 Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\PASSPORT

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\PASSPORT

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Passport Music Software LLC

  

Exit Regedit

 

Restart the computer.

 

Reinstall Encore or MusicTime Deluxe using the latest installer.

 

Go to the Programs directory and right-click on Encore/MusicTime and “Run as Administrator”. Once open, register the serial code provided with your purchase. The registration window will open when “Save” is prompted in the file menu.

 

After the software is registered, exit and relaunch by simply double clicking on the program.
